The Fairway

LUXURY GOLF JOURNEYS TO THE WORLD'S GREAT COURSES

A SIGNATURE COLLECTION

A Lux Grand Travels Signature Collection

Some courses stay on your wish list for years before you finally have the chance to play them.

St Andrews. Royal Dornoch. Ballybunion. Cape Kidnappers. Jack's Point above Queenstown with the mountains rising behind the fairways.

The Fairway was created for journeys like these. It's Lux Grand Travels' collection of golf experiences built around some of the world's most celebrated courses. Rather than simply booking tee times, I plan the entire journey so the golf, the accommodations, the pace of the trip, and the experiences beyond the course all work together.

Whether you're traveling with your partner, a group of friends, or a couple of couples who've been talking about Scotland for years, I begin with the golf and build everything else around it. The golfer gets the rounds they've been looking forward to, while everyone else enjoys a journey that's just as thoughtfully planned.

That might mean exploring nearby villages, relaxing at a spa, visiting wineries, enjoying exceptional dining, or simply spending the afternoon somewhere beautiful before everyone comes together again in the evening.

The best golf journeys are about more than the rounds themselves. They become trips that everyone remembers for their own reasons, and that's exactly what The Fairway is designed to create.

Where The Fairway Takes You

The Fairway brings together some of the world's most celebrated golf destinations. Some are legendary. Others are emerging favorites that deserve a place on every serious golfer's radar. Each destination has been chosen because the experience extends well beyond the fairways.

THE BRITISH ISLES

Scotland and Ireland

For many golfers, St Andrews is the course they've imagined playing for years. Sitting on the North Sea, it's a place where the wind can change the way the course plays from one hour to the next. A caddie who has walked those fairways for years knows things about that course that no app will ever tell you. I plan the tee time, the caddie, the season, and what the day looks like on either side of the round.

Royal Dornoch sits two hours north of Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, remote enough that getting there feels intentional. Ballybunion sits above the Atlantic on the west coast of Ireland, where the ocean meets the dunes. Adare Manor is one of the great country house hotels in Europe, and in 2027, it hosts the Ryder Cup.

These are rounds people spend years working toward. I make sure the trip is worth the wait.

Catalonia is where I am sending serious golfers right now. Camiral, outside Girona, about an hour from Barcelona, is hosting the 2031 Ryder Cup. That tells you everything about the quality of the courses and the facilities. The wine country and coast reward an extra day for anyone who wants it.

Portugal offers remarkable golf alongside coastlines and wine estates where lunch takes two hours and nobody is in a hurry.

Andalucia has Valderrama, the course that hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup and remains one of the most demanding tests in European golf.

THE IBERIAN COAST

Portugal, Catalonia, and Andalucia

THE PACIFIC RIM

New Zealand and Beyond

Cape Kidnappers sits on a clifftop above Hawke's Bay with the Pacific dropping away below the fairways. Jack's Point is outside Queenstown with The Remarkables behind it.

I recommend New Zealand to golfers who have already done Scotland and Ireland and are ready for something that feels entirely different. The distance is part of it. So is the scale of what surrounds you.

Who This Is For

The Fairway is for the golfer who has been talking about Scotland for years and keeps finding a reason to wait. It's for the group of friends who have decided it's finally time to play somewhere that matters. It's for the couple where one plays and the other travels, and both deserve a journey designed with equal care.

These are experienced travelers. They know the difference between a trip that was thoughtfully planned and one that was simply assembled. They are not looking for the longest itinerary. They are looking for the right one.

Beyond the Score

Some rounds are remembered for a great shot. Most are remembered for everything around it.

A morning tee time at St Andrews. Dinner in the Algarve after a day on the course. The sun lingering over the mountains in Queenstown after the clubs have been put away.

Years later, those are the moments people talk about most. The golf brought everyone there, and the journey became something bigger.

That's what The Fairway is designed to create.

Every Fairway journey begins with a conversation about the courses you want to play, the people traveling with you, and the kind of trip you have in mind. From there, I build a journey around all of it.
